Trending: Baseball Caps

The baseball caps went ahead of themselves, made it out of the stadiums and got the lead at so many F/W 11 shows, including Miu Miu and Givenchy, that it was about time we witness a whole lot of them around the splash zone – the streets. As Net a Porter suggests; pair them with a varsity jacket and skinny jeans for a cool weekend outfit. We wouldn’t consider wearing it any other way but thanks for the tip guys. (Miu Miu F/W 2011) This wouldn’t make such a difference in my dad’s life though, he practically wears his caps day&night – and always ends up getting mocked by me – well who is laughing now? If you want to channel the sporty-chic look but aren’t willing to sacrifice your edgy and elegant style and be distemperately bland, here are some great choices for you: 1) TOPSHOP Baseball Cap – £15.00 2) Vintage Caramel Brown Corduroy Baseball Cap with Ear Flaps – $36.00 3) Urban Outfitters Pendleton Admiral Cap – $27.69 4) Sonia by Sonia …

No.21 F/W 12

For fall, Alessandro Dell’Acqua chose salt-and-pepper tweeds, gray menswear suiting, and embroidered paste emeralds and crystal stones on a pleated A-line skirt, getting his inspiration from Queen Elizabeth II and her diamonds. His two-tone tweeds and the gray micro-checked fabric (cut into a few neat, high-waisted coats) are fused onto neoprene, making them a lighter, springier twenty-first-century proposition than they at first appear. source: vogue

Oscar After Parties, Best Dressed

Unlike the obvious white domination of the award red carpet, after parties’ (Vanity Fair Oscar Party & Elton John AIDS Foundation party) color code was red & black, just like old times. Eventhough she dissappintted me on the carpet, Emma Stone is glowing in her Chanel gown and shy looks. My other favourite is, without a surprise, Diane Kruger. To me, the most beautiful woman on earth, besides I can’t remember the last time she wore something I disliked. She looks unbelievably hot in her red Calvin Klein gown, the brand which she is the embassador of. I have to say I really admired the mini pieces Shailene Woodley (Proenza Schouler) and Kate Bosworth (Prabal Gurung) choose for the night, giving us a rather long stare at their beautiful legs. Elizabeth Olsen looked so lovely in her Christian Dior, proving that style is indeed something that runs in your blood. Teresa Palmer‘s minimal white Calvin Klein gown with a loop metal halterneck line made her look so fresh; whereas the other celebrities who were crowning …

Gaia Repossi

Gaia Repossi has been revered by the industry for her creative eye, minimalistic aesthetic and ability to infuse a family business with a dose of modern creativity. At the age of 20, Gaia assumed the role of Artistic Director to her family’s famed jewelry house, which was founded in 1925 by her grandfather. Gaia’s takeover saw the brand’s collaboration with today’s top tastemakers; in 2010, she debuted her “Burned Gold” collection with cult-fave Alexander Wang for his F/W ’11 show and also her collab with (another industry-fave) Mr. Joseph Altuzarra for his F/W ’11 show. With a background in Fine Arts (she majored in archaeology and anthropology), it’s easy to see how Gaia’s background has translated into thoughtful collections, which are enriched in and inspired by “ethnic silhouettes and tribal” accents. source: the coveteur
