Best Street Style Looks of MFW Spring 2019

Milan, the city of extremely well dressed elderly and unbelievably boring youth that suddenly (and luckily) goes into hiding during fashion week and making way for stylish crowds. That’s all I learned in my year living there; don’t expect to be inspired by anyone unless it’s one of the fashion months but if it is, just enjoy the very colorful ride.

SHOPBOP Event of The Season Sale is ON!

Besides being official partners, SHOPBOP is one of the websites I shop from the most (and needless to say my wishlist is longer than an IKEA slip, filled with hundreds of gorgeous goodies I can mostly only look at but hey, that’s why they’re called WISH lists) so when there’s a sale, I feel like it’s my duty to tell you about it and share that said wishlist with you so you can buy everything I can’t. Until September 29th midnight PT, you can get 20% off orders under $500 and 25% off orders of $500 and more with code STOCKUP18 Shop my list here

Best Street Style Looks of LFW Spring 2019

It’s been almost 9 years since I started working in fashion (and about 13 since I got really passionate about it) and I still don’t get why London Fashion Week doesn’t get the credit it deserves from the fashion crowd. Besides being one of my favorite cities in the world (I like it a lot more than New York, honestly) London has that creative juice that’s not flowing, it’s almost boiling – on the runway and on the streets. It’s less sophisticated, less calculated and definitely more comfortable and colorful than the rest. All I can ask for.

Best Street Style Looks of NYFW Spring 2019

After a (veery) long hiatus from the blog caused by vacations, personal problems and general laziness (sorry) I’m back with sharing the thing I like sharing the most: fashion week street style! One thing I’d like to note about this particular NYFW street style bunch (that you may not know or get looking at the photos) but the weather was absolutely TERRIBLE in NY during fashion week. It was rainy, humid, extremely hot, unexpectedly cold on some hours during the day – it was a complete nightmare to dress to. So at every single image, every single outfit, please appreciate how these amazing women can hold it together because I was sweating out of every single hole on my body. New York people really do have some super powers I guess, always looking enviably cool being one of them.

Best of MET Gala 2018

Fashion’s most stylish (and stylishly controversial) night has come and gone with in my opinion one of the most exciting themes ever: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. To people who don’t know what it is, MET Gala is the opening of Costume Institute’s exhibition for that year where guests are supposed to dress up according to the theme (and not take it too literal), most of which unfortunately fail every year. It’s also a night where Rihanna always wins. Always. For this year’s theme there was lots to work with; embroidery, fabrics like jacquard or velvet, religious symbols, spiritual elements (such as saint and evil), structure, shape and more importantly head pieces. If none of those work for you, it’s quite the opportunity to make a perfect statement like Lena Waithe.
