Second time I’m using the blog to talk about something other than fashion, and please accept my apologies in advance for not updating the blog daily as usual, I don’t think I’ll have the mental strength to focus on it for quite some time. I want to start this post by saying that I have never ever used this blog for anything other than its purpose. But now is time for a union, one that we – Turkish people – need help of everybody else around the world! So if you are the kind of people who read this space and not just look at the photos and skip; please help us spread the word. Right now there is a civilian riot going on in Turkey; the police are attacking innocent citizens who at first wanted to preserve one of the last remaining parks at the heart of Istanbul and started a peaceful protest to prevent it from getting demolished (with the sake of building yet another new shopping mall). After 5 days, it’s now a nationwide resistance against everything that has been going wrong in our country for over 10 years (including freedom of speech, peer pressure about religion, freedom to dress, the right to drink alcohol, the right to protest, media blackouts, terror, violance against women and …
Hey guys, sorry (once again) for the lack of posts but I just moved to Montreal 3 days ago – after a loong loooong flight, slight problems at the airport and a (still ongoing) heavy moving process.
