Another bridal fashion week has come and gone with gowns making me resent every single choice I made at my wedding and my only consolation is the fact that I didn’t have the time or the money to get or have tailored any of these dresses. But if you are a future bride (don’t have to have a prospect, I started my dream wedding dress folder years before and helped many brides ever since) here are the 60 best bridal looks for fall weddings of 2017.
I’m going to be assertive about something: this summer, no one has more (really close) friends getting married than I do. I don’t know what the hell happened that made them all decide to tie the knot the exact same year and make me go bankrupt or miss some weddings I absolutely dread missing, but it happened. So now I feel like it’s more than just a blog post when I write about bridal stuff and even though most of them already bought their dresses, they’re still %100 more into anything wedding related. Long story short, here are my favorite 50 dresses from the Bridal Spring 2017 collections, for those who are getting ready for the big day and those who just like to look at pretty white gowns.
This is the first I’m hearing of Alon Livné, but it definitely won’t be the last time you’ll be hearing about him from me. The Fall 2016 bridal collection, which was inspired by 19th century Russian ballet, is just too good to be squished into a best of post. Both sexy and graceful at the same time, Livné masterfully blended 20’s mirth and Edwardian solemnity in intricate lacework, shimmer, mesh and feathers. I honestly haven’t seen a bridal collection that is this good in a long, long time. Especially this dress. OH-MY-GOD.
It’s been a little more than 2 years since I was scavenging through internet to find the perfect wedding dress for my happening too soon wedding, hopelessly trying to find “the one” and the most beautiful stuff I found – besides the freakin $15k gown my mom found for me in Turkey – was on Etsy. Handcrafted, personalized, unique and not too commercial, almost all of them were perfect on their own, however I couldn’t risk buying something online and crafted only for me, with what little time I had left. I want some other lucky bride to be with generous time to consider Etsy though, I think it’s the best place for wedding shopping. Here are my favorite picks from the best bridal boutiques on Etsy, get’em and get’em good!
Alberta Ferretti Bridal 2015 Safe space here guys, you can confess how you listened to Super Girl from Reamonn over and over again when you are upset about something. Or how speechless you were when you saw Gwyneth Paltrow in that Tom Ford white caped gown at 2012 Academy Awards no matter how mainstream it is to hate her. What these two things have in common? The supergirl feeling you get from capes will turn you into a super bride in 2015. Chiffon, lace, structured – a seperate piece or part of the dress and maybe even with a hood; baby don’t mind how they come. Bridal capes are especially perfect for fall and early spring weddings.
