Marais & Tour Eiffel

Two most unrelated locations in Paris and I’m in both of them same day. Marais is my heaven (as it would be for most of you) tiny linked streets filled with boutiques, shops, vintage shops, cafes, restaurants, street singers… But there are some realities in life called 1)being broke 2)parents getting tired of walking so we headed to Eiffel to lay down in the park and enjoy the sun which may fool you into believing that the weather is hot but its NOT! Hence the double jackets. I love Paris more than any other country/city in the world but I’m starting to miss my home, wardrobe and fancier outfits. If only I can move here for good… The “only” problem is the language and for those of you who don’t know me I like to learn the language after it becomes useless. Just like I learned Italian right after I moved back from Milan. Now I know one more foreign language which isn’t helping me to relocate to neither Montreal nor Paris. Bonjour to the …

Rive Droite to Rive Gauche

This is another one of my DIY projects; a leather sleeved military jacket created by putting on a khaki vest over my beloved Kate Moss for Topshop leather jacket. (Its been almost 5 years, I still love it like the first day) I know the edges of the leather is showing from the inside but still better than paying through the nose for a Zara coat which I probably will wear only 4 or 5 times. My dress is Topshop as well. We walked for 6 hours straight today; starting from Opéra as always to Beaubourg and Les Halles passing through Rue Montmartre (its a lovely street!) saw Centre Georges Pompidou, continued to St Michel, Jardin du Luxembourg – Rue Sevres, Rue du Vieux Colombier, St Sulpice, Rue Bonaparte… got tired of writing, image how my feet feel. Last 2 days and tomorrow Marais time!

Jardin des Tuileries

I’ve always wanted to take a blogger picture on the dusty roads of Jardin des Tuileries, afterall its a fashion week tradition. My outfit is as blah as it can be, but I got my picture and thats fine. (I wasnt’t just walking around, I was headed to Musée D’orsay – being able to see Starry Night over the Rhone before you die is a privilage, I tell you) Zara dress & Vintage cardigan & H&M necklace. The last picture is when I was drooling infront of jeweller windows at Place Vendome.

A Not so Versaillesy Outfit

I love the crazy weather of Europe, making hysterical temperature swings from 10 degress to 30 degrees, then 15 the next day. Anyways, a beautiful sunny day in Paris is cue to a day trip to Versailles, especially if no one in the family has seen it before. I can’t feel my legs, or my feet, or my tushy; but it was worth it. Especially the gardens, the wisteria. It is the peak of all tourist activities in the world, but I made a promise to myself – last 3 days are all walking & shopping.

Paris Jour 1

I call the first day of foreign trips the useless day, always ending up walking around purposeless trying to shake the extreme tiredness but always failing. This day was no exception. We walked through Opéra all the way to Louvre, Pont Neuf, Jardin des Tuileries to Champs-Élysées for hours. It wasn’t anything I haven’t seen before but still, I repeat, Paris is always a good idea. Excusez moi for the vacant eyes and horrible smile but I haven’t slept for more than 24 hours! And I have no idea why the hell I am still up making this post.
