Best of 2017 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet

When you’re a fashion blogger who’s crazy about sports (football, mostly), trying to follow a red carpet airing at the same time as a playoff game can be more torturous than joyful, but I did it. And thanks to pink dresses with stars on it, playful sequins, beautiful maternity looks, deep plunges and masterful hemlines, it was all worth wearing out the back button of the remote. Here are my favorite 25 looks from the Golden Globe Awards red carpet:

73rd Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet

A pleasantly surprising Golden Globe red carpet hit the screens of our tvs, phones and twitters last night, and since I still haven’t watched most of the nominated movies and tv series yet, my whole entire focus was on the red carpet yesterday (ok, it was half and half between the Packers game and the red carpet). It was a hundred percent glamour with around 20 percent safe play, 10 percent cliché, 5 percent bad looks and almost zero disasters. Alicia Vikander was one of the first to arrive and managed to remain my favorite till the very end in a heavenly – maybe a little maid like – Louis Vuitton that only she could rock that good. Brie Larson, Kirsten Dunst, Rooney Mara, Zendaya, Heidi Klum and many more were among my favorites (all the looks I show here by themselves and not in a gallery are on my best dressed list) but I have to make a special shout out to Jennifer Lopez, who fairly glowed in a mustard yellow, surprisingly covered up, …

Golden Globe Awards 2015

Emma Stone in Lanvin I was on the fence about making a post of this Golden Globe red carpet; I didn’t think that any of the looks, even the good ones, were worth keeping me up till 6 in the morning (I’m in Turkey right now). However, Emma Stone gracing the runway with a beautiful strapless Lanvin jumpsuit, Julianne Moore‘s unbelievable custom made Givenchy gown, Lena Dunham looking her best EVER in a red Zac Posen piece and Sienna Miller bringing life back to red carpet with her bejeweled playful MiuMiu dress couldn’t go unnoticed. Unfortunately, it was a boring night with a boring red carpet and an even more boring award show. I need MET Gala for some glamor to my soul.

71st Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet

Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren Cate Blanchett in Armani Kerry Washington in Balenciaga It was – hands down – the easiest “best of” since Gwyneth Paltrow’s Tom Ford (and I know the resemblance is uncanny). But it was the hardest “who’s my number 2, 3, 4, 5, 6….” because it was also definitely one of the best red carpets ever. So many daring looks, wonderful new shapes (hello pregnant Kerry Washington in probably the most amazing maternity gown, ever) and speaking of looking amazing while pregnant, how can Olivia Wilde could look so good even she’s about to pop? Two of my always favourites, Cate Blanchett and Emma Watson, nailed it again (I wouldn’t admit even if they couldn’t, but still) – former with a futuristic shaped gown adorned with classical lace, something only Cate can pull of and the latter with the most daring red dress – navy trousers combo. Helen Mirren is definitely aging backwards or the whole thing about getting uglier when you’re old is a complete bullshit, Amy Adams couldn’t get …
