I’m starting the post by assuming that all of you have at least one turtleneck something; sweater most probably, maybe a dress or a t-shirt.
The fashion month is really the gift that keeps on giving and I totally believe there’s a reason behind the line-up of cities. With every passing week the fashion, on the runway and on the streets, gets better and better.
I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am that for the first time since I’ve got into fashion, I’m shopping for flats – not just for the sake of my soles but to fulfill a “trendential” need.
The marathon is over now, and what we’re left with is 1) a Marc Jacobless Louis Vuitton, 2) a surprisingly bad Rodarte collection that showed us even going strong after several years, you can mess it up, 3) new lessons in using color in minimal style, taught by Phoebe Philo, 4) we can keep on wearing sandals, as confirmed by many, 5) gold is MAJOR, 6) I still don’t like Hedi Slimane’s Saint Laurent, or his drama queen behaviour, 7) we should invest our money in brick, grey and blue, 8) feathers are cool. Another gift fashion santa brought us this month, because we were so good, is street style photos that will run for at least 6 months. Which means for the upcoming months, we – the late bloomers – will go through the same batch of photos over and over again everytime we shop or get dressed. And every single time, we will wish we were them. And since it’s impossible to be all of them (physically and materially) we will be sad. …
Move over Ferragni, we have a new favourite Chiara now. Actually I have never been a fan or follower of Chiara Ferragni (my admiration for her freakish success aside) (and we once stood side to side, you have no idea how tall and beautiful she is) so this is my first and last Chiara crush, you might say. I actually noticed her first in february, when I saw her face in street style photos one after another. Her super Italian face&hair, complemented by her wonderful physique and laid back, edgy and masculine style made me smitten. As far as I know from internet and All The Pretty Birds blog, she is a stylist assistant and Grazia.it’s newest it girl. With her own words, her style is “unconventionally classic/minimal, with a touch of rock”. I don’t think anything but her beauty is classic but I know that I love rock n’ roll. And if I was still living in Milan, I could be her very own little stalker.
