The System

I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of uniforms. I was probably the only girl in high school who was more than content with the dress code (with slight rule breakers of course) and despite my interest in fashion and the constant need to be the first one to try something new as a blogger or always do something different, I’ve always felt more comfortable when I’m wearing my wardrobe staples. That’s probably why when you see me on a regular day I’ll be wearing pretty much the same things: tapered pants, boyfriend jeans, basic t-shirts or tank tops, simple non-stretch maxi dresses, oversized sweaters and my most comfortable pair of shoes. This style formula has never failed me and now we have a brand that’s creating and delivering that formula for us. Introducing EILEEN FISHER and The System ladies and gentlemen. With a focus on 8 core pieces at the heart of the system, EILEEN FISHER wants to show the world we can do more with less, buy fewer pieces and still create endless …

Turn It Around

One of the happiest “fashion” moments of my life was when I learned, two years ago, that COS was opening in Montreal. Before that I was literally saving money to shop from the brand whenever I’m in Europe so it was unreal for me that I would have access whenever I want. I love it so much that if I’m not supposed to shop I don’t enter the shop at all because I know that I will buy at least one thing every time I go in. Every single item is so well tailored with the right fabrics that it’s no coincidence whenever someone asks me where I bought something the answer is almost always, COS. This dress is my last favorite and it fits so freakin well that even when I wear it backwards it still looks good (yes it’s backwards in these photos and I didn’t realize it until I came back home). . Vintage Lovers

Last weekend was a good one, and not just because it was the last glimpse of heaven with a sunny 10 degree Sunday but also because I scored the cable knit sweater of my dreams (%100 wool, a little cropped with low shoulders and extra long sleeves) among other things from TOKEN at the Old Wig Vintage Lovers sale. I’m not saying this because I’m friends with the owners, since we became friends thanks to their awesome work, but if you’re looking for a vintage shop that sells minimal and contemporary pieces you will gladly wear today and not look like you’re a collage girl about to go to a festival, your search is over. . Fits Like A Glove

There still may be couple of months before the first COS store opens in Montreal but if you think that would make me wait and not scavenge the internet for these glove shoes only to find it after a day long crazy google/lyst/pinterest/vestaire hunt, you’re wrong ladies. It’s a hard life you live when you’re 5’3″ and hate heels so anything that makes you look even 2cms longer and as comfortable as a flat is something you fight for. I stand by my war. . Monochrome Display

Continuing my saga of perfectly comfortable summer outfits that all look pretty much the same, we have a monochromatic display over today’s look. Starring the camisole, something I’ve been wearing every single day lately – but please don’t think I’m a hobo who never washes her clothes, everything is so perfect about it I just had to buy more than one – surprisingly comfortable new flat sandals (it was a horrible online shopping experience but the shoes are worth it) and good ol’ crops. Summer time and the living is easy my friends. . White camisole Topshop (similar here & here) . Black faux leather cropped pants Front Row Shop (similar here & here) .
