The Fashion Medley

Seasons Don’t Change

Not in my wardrobe they don’t. That’s why I never had winter-summer wardrobes, all of my clothes are always sitting side by side, waiting for their turn to make a surprise appearance in outfits. This Nanushka dress for example, which was a summer staple for me this year, is now the perfect fall skirt worn under sweaters. Recycle your wardrobe, folks. . Sunglasses Le Specs x Adam Selman . Polka Revelation

I could have sworn that polka dots was the print I dislike the most up until a year ago. I love stripes, I enjoy a good floral every now and then, animal prints are totally welcome and so does anything abstract but I never, ever thought I’d be this into polka dots. I basically can’t stop buying anything dotted: blouses, dresses, scarves – bags even. I’m also enjoying the very few days you can sport a blazer, bare leg, combat boots combo so all’s well here. . The Fashion Medley for Carrera

Carrera Bound

As I was trying to find a witty title for this outfit post (which quite frankly is the hardest thing after finding Instagram captions) I realized the Carrera sunglasses I’m wearing already have the perfect name. Created using the retro aesthetic of the classic pilot shape bound together with a double metal bridge and the iconic Carrera logo, the name may be hinting at anything; a destination, a root, a union… For me, it’s a bold way to embrace the good old pilot with a hint of red, a color I’m trying to adopt into my everyday looks. . I Never Expire

I always believe there’s a funny plot twist in every person’s life story, something that happens to them very ironically when they think they’re the last person it can happen to. To me that thing was getting married. Despite the endless – sometimes subliminal – pressure you get all your life as a girl to get married, to have kids and live a “proper” life, I kept on chanting Anouk’s “Nobody’s Wife” like it was my personal anthem. I kept on laughing when my friends tell me despite what I say, I’ll be the first one to get married. I couldn’t be in serious relationships and marriage simply wasn’t fit for me. Then, at 19 years old, I met the love of my life. After dating for 7 years we got married when we were 26 years old. And yes, we were the first ones among our friends to get married. It wasn’t a splashy proposal and a show off wedding. It wasn’t because we had to get married because we’ve been together for so …

Harriet

I think there was only one way to make a slip dress look cooler and even more sexy at the same time and Millie +Lou managed to find it: hot pressing harriet prints on a vintage ivory satin apron dress. I’m so insanely in love with this dress I even got over my “wearing sleepwear outside” phobia (FOWSO?) – I needed a trench to make it more city-friendly but I’m taking this baby to vacation and there will be numerous nights where it will be just me and her (and some underwear probably…maybe). .
