Ruffle Up, Hoodie Down

I don’t know what fashion is doing to me but this skirt is not the first or the last ruffled item I bought this season and even though it still feels weird to me to wear anything this girly, it’s weirdly not weird enough. The oversized hoodie and sneakers do help of course, I can’t imagine myself in a high heel-sexy blouse combo but I still applaud myself for getting in an out of this style challenge alive. Even though I seem a bit angry about it. . Ivory cropped hoodie H&M (similar here & here) . Navy ruffled skirt Zara (similar here & here) . Black sneakers Vans (or get them here & here)

Turn It Around

One of the happiest “fashion” moments of my life was when I learned, two years ago, that COS was opening in Montreal. Before that I was literally saving money to shop from the brand whenever I’m in Europe so it was unreal for me that I would have access whenever I want. I love it so much that if I’m not supposed to shop I don’t enter the shop at all because I know that I will buy at least one thing every time I go in. Every single item is so well tailored with the right fabrics that it’s no coincidence whenever someone asks me where I bought something the answer is almost always, COS. This dress is my last favorite and it fits so freakin well that even when I wear it backwards it still looks good (yes it’s backwards in these photos and I didn’t realize it until I came back home). . Reitmans x Meghan Markle

Newsflash, I’m a former lawyer who watches Suits. And even though it has become a little soap-operaish lately there is one thing that hasn’t changed about the show: Rachel Zane is hot. Like “my God I never looked like that when I was a lawyer” hot, “I’m a blogger now and I still don’t look that hot” hot; so when I heard that her second capsule collection for Reitmans is up for grabs I decided to merge her sexy work pieces with my daily tomboy style and see what happens. Here’s what happened: 1) my almost decade long personal ban on leggings is officially lifted after wearing these butter-soft faux leather pants, 2) the boyfriend shirt that was created to tuck in high waisted pencil skirts and trousers work just as perfectly as an oversized top when sized up and turned backwards thanks to its loose design. The collection launches in-store and online on November 3rd but you can sign up here to be the first to know about the exclusive pre‑sale and for a …

Stretch Armstrong

As someone who always stretched out the sleeves of every single long sleeve top she ever had, this oversized sweater trend makes me happy more than anyone else. I don’t know if it’s the cosiness, feeling of sloppiness or simply because it balances my body proportions but I can’t get enough of the stretch armstrong look. . Nouveux Manteaux de 2016

It may come as a surprise to many, but I actually still hate posing for blog photos. I absolutely love dressing up but pretending to be a 5’3 non-skinny model whilst people walk by and stare at you part, not so much. If I’m lucky they just look for a couple of seconds and go away. Some of them just stay there and look at you for minutes which I have to be honest are the creepiest couple of fellas. And sometimes they talk, make jokes, get interested in your camera, suggest you a more “colorful” wall or generally ask questions about what the hell you’re doing. The funniest one we ever got were the couple living across one of the walls we frequently shot coming up at us and asking why we always take photos there, if it’s an important wall or not – they were pretty relieved when after a year they finally figured out that we were not insane. This weekend however a pass-byer unknowingly named the post by yelling out “Nouveux …
