A Good Deal

I love a luxury consignment website much as the next girl, buying high quality luxury items you’ve been lusting after for so long for a fraction of the price and a guarantee for authenticity is nothing short of a dream, but the USD-CAD conversion rate and the custom taxes started to kill me a while ago so I had to say a sad goodbye to the opportunity to shop good for less. Same goes for consigning, the cost to send items is high enough to make you give up or try to sell your stuff yourself, struggling on second hand websites and dealing with people and crazy offers. Then, god answered my prayers with Mcouture, a Canada based(!!) luxury consignment website that sells a selection of pre-loved designer pieces from high-end brands up to 80% off. Yes, that means a place you know you’ll always find exclusive luxury on an insane sale and not exorbitant shipping and tax prices. So, to celebrate their launch, I decided to sell my beloved Rebecca Minkoff Love bag. It …

Blast From The Past

I have to confess at this point that sometimes, when a photo shoot doesn’t turn out exactly the way I hoped, I save them for future emergency uses and move on to something else. I never actually had to use those emergency shots, until now. Despite the relatively warm winter we’ve been having, I was really unlucky about my photo shoot times. One weekend polar vortex, the other one out of the city, next one freezing rain. And since I didn’t want to leave the blog so long without an outfit post, I checked my emergency stash and liked this look definitely more than I did at the time. Best of 2015

Have you ever had one of those years where it felt like it lasted a lifetime, like almost everything you remember doing happened in just the last 365 days? 2015 has been like that for me in terms of my career, I feel like I started my blog this year and it just evolved and developed even though it’s been 6 years already. This was the year I got featured as the it-girl on Vogue Turkey’s February issue, the year I was one of the instagram users to follow on Cosmopolitan Turkey’s September issue, the year I was on The Main MTL, Flare Mag, multiple posts of NY Mag The Cut, Blue is in Fashion This Year and other websites & blogs, the year I got thousands of repins on Pinterest, the year I raised my Instagram followers from 3k to almost 30k – which was the biggest accomplishment of all on my end. I’m usually a pessimist and I undermine everything I ever do so please bear with  me as I humbly brag for …

Tailors around the world should fly the flag at half-staff every time I get my hands on a pair of scissors and customize something for myself; case in point this new sweater (used to be) dress. I actually bought it with loads of love in hopes of achieving the winter version of dress over pants look, which I’m actually pretty good at if being given the right garments, but this one just didn’t feel right. So yes, instead of returning it and buying something else like a normal person, I cut it (a heavily knitted sweater, right in the middle, with a pair of freaking scissors) and turned it into an asymmetrical hem sweater with a long back. Don’t judge me. . Camel jacket H&M (similar here & here) . White cropped pants Oak+Fort (similar here & here) . Grey speckled sweater (cut cross-ways) Zara (similar here & here) . Passion and seduction are two relative and tricky concepts when it comes to how you convey them and I personally am not the traditional, obvious type. So when I was asked to represent the trendy and seductive woman associated with the Diesel Loverdose Red Kiss Fragrance; I instantly knew that it was going to involve oversized something with chunky footwear – two things most people don’t associate with the aforementioned concepts. But I am my sexiest when I feel powerful and comfortable, not in some de facto conditions and outfits. Scroll down to enter the giveaway for your own Diesel Loverdose Red Kiss. .
