Best of 2018 SAG Awards Red Carpet

This year I decided not to write anything about the Golden Globe Awards red carpet neither on the blog nor on Twitter, because it was ludicrous and superficial to compete dresses on an event where the message was so much stronger than fabric. But now that the #TimesUp movement is off the red carpet and more on the stage at SAG Awards, I felt like I can go back to picking my favorite looks – because there were SOME. Even though she didn’t make many people’s lists, Saoirsie Ronan is my favorite in her pink Louis Vuitton and messy hair. She is my new red carpet star and I’m always looking forward to seeing what she’ll wear. Margot Robbie, Allison Williams and Natalia Dyer were tied for the second spot as they all looked dreamy; with Millie Bobby Brown, Yara Shahidi and Olivia Munn not so far behind… Check out my 30 favorite looks from the night!

Best of 2017 SAG Awards Red Carpet

They seem like they can do no wrong and together with veterans like Naomi Watts, Claire Danes, Kristen Wiig (and hey where’s Cate Blanchett?!) plus already established red carpet goddess Laverne Cox, risk taker Nicole Kidman (even though that Gucci looks a little borrowed on her I really appreciate someone having the balls to bring that fun collection on the red carpet) and “thank god she finally opted for a classic minimal Narciso Rodriguez and nailed it after years of disappointment” Amanda Peet – it’s hell of an award season to watch. Here are my 50 favorite …

Back to the Future

When I was strolling through vintage shops online, getting utterly amused by jewellery and embellishments more than ever, I found myself comparing vintage gowns to the ones recently worn at red carpet events, which made me search more and more – then I just got sunk into it. Here are the first 30 splendid vintage gowns that resemble, or maybe even inspired, the most remarkable or recent red carpet looks. And they are all on SALE! (To see the second part of Back to the Future posts click here!) 1) Diane Kruger in Jason Wu at Cannes – Arnold Scaasi Bright Pink Satin Gown with Black Velvet Trim ($675.00) 2) Elizabeth Olsen in Christian Dior at Vanity Fair Oscar Party – Edwardian Sequin & Silk Couture Dress ($1,800.00) 3) Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli at Academy Awards – 80’s YSL Halterneck Maxi Dress ($ 1,498.00) 4) Lily Collins in Monique Lhuillier at Vanity Fair Oscar Party – 30’s Blue Lace Gown ($500.00) 5) Marion Cotillard in Dior at MET Gala – 60’s Lois Hunt Beaded …
