Peek A Boo

Today is a very good day. Today I’m proud of myself because while there may be some people out there saving the world, I figured out a way to wear two summer pieces (in winter) both of which are quite hard to wear by themselves yet are very much loved. This wrap skirt is without a doubt the best skirt I’ve ever bought, totally compliments my figure and super stylish but the slit is just to deep for a boy like me to wear on a regular day. The white sundress however was already an under-dress for another apron, kind of see through so it was useless by itself. Then a photo I stumbled upon on Pinterest (or was it tumblr?) gave me the idea to pair these two and wow! Who could have known they were made for each other, like Kanye and Kanye. . Winter Finesse

After 3 years of endless suffering and depressions from the brutal Montreal winter I came to understand what all my Quebecois friends were talking about: the only way to survive the cold and get over the winter blues is to find a way to enjoy it. Well, I thought, it’s easy for them to say; going skiing or snowboarding so frequently it reminded me of the hopscotch we used to play on the streets every day, it shouldn’t be so hard to enjoy or at least not dread winter so much. I’m not so athletically talentless per se but I have no idea, passion or intention to be a part of any winter sport so I eventually had to find some other way and that is, surprise surprise, winter getaways.

Peel The Onion

I guess by now you can understand from the lack of outfit posts that I’m constantly struggling with dressing up in winter, and I always thought it was just because of the cold. Sure it was a huge part of it, when it’s -25 your options are down coat or down coat, but as it turns out slush was just as big of a problem. When I can’t wear more than half the boots I own, meaning I’m stuck with combat boots or sneakers if I’m feeling adventurous enough, I can’t seem to create a lot of interesting outfits and I definitely don’t want to be one of those bloggers posing in high heeled sandals in the middle of the snow. Good news is, spring is right around the corner (the weather network says so) and I’m about the peel the onion and start having fun again. Tune in. . Ivory wool coat Zara (similar here & here) . A Good Deal

I love a luxury consignment website much as the next girl, buying high quality luxury items you’ve been lusting after for so long for a fraction of the price and a guarantee for authenticity is nothing short of a dream, but the USD-CAD conversion rate and the custom taxes started to kill me a while ago so I had to say a sad goodbye to the opportunity to shop good for less. Same goes for consigning, the cost to send items is high enough to make you give up or try to sell your stuff yourself, struggling on second hand websites and dealing with people and crazy offers. Then, god answered my prayers with Mcouture, a Canada based(!!) luxury consignment website that sells a selection of pre-loved designer pieces from high-end brands up to 80% off. Yes, that means a place you know you’ll always find exclusive luxury on an insane sale and not exorbitant shipping and tax prices. So, to celebrate their launch, I decided to sell my beloved Rebecca Minkoff Love bag. It …

Blast From The Past

I have to confess at this point that sometimes, when a photo shoot doesn’t turn out exactly the way I hoped, I save them for future emergency uses and move on to something else. I never actually had to use those emergency shots, until now. Despite the relatively warm winter we’ve been having, I was really unlucky about my photo shoot times. One weekend polar vortex, the other one out of the city, next one freezing rain. And since I didn’t want to leave the blog so long without an outfit post, I checked my emergency stash and liked this look definitely more than I did at the time.
